Cancer Report

The Cancer Report is published in Switzerland every five years. The aim is to inform the public and health professionals about the latest trends in cancer incidence, prevalence, mortality and survival, as well as potential risk factors. The latest cancer report was presented to the media on 14 October 2021. It covers the period 2013 – 2017.

The current Cancer Report 2021 reveals that due to the increasing number of older people, the number of cancer patients and the number of cancer-related deaths is increasing. Nevertheless, the overall risk of new cancer cases is decreasing for men and remains unchanged for women.
